Glastonbury Rosary: Heart of Fire

£45.00

This one-of-a-kind handmade necklace is made of roses and well water from Glastonbury, UK, the heart chakra/energy centre of the planet. Glastonbury is a powerful energetic location, with the Michael and Mary ley lines crossing over here and holds deep spiritual significance for many who live and pilgrimage there.

The energy of this necklace is LOVE, EMPOWERMENT, PROTECTION, LUCK + STRENGTH.

This necklace contains 121 beads of six types:

  • 47 hand prepared beads made from Glastonbury roses and Chalice well/White Springs water

  • 24 red tigers eye crystal beads for protection, clarity, grounding, prosperity + success

  • 18 sesame red stone crystal beads for empowerment, bringing strength to resist emotional domination and control by others

  • 18 sunstone crystal beads for luck, good fortune, fun, vitality, independence and originality

  • 10 carnelian crystal beads for warmth, life, strength, bravery, courage, creativity, and vibrancy

  • 4 amazonite crystal beads for emotional balance, communication, protection + luck

The rose beads are lovingly made using a slow, intentional process. The roses for this necklace are from the Chalice Well Gardens in Glastonbury, where I also collected red and white spring well water. I blended the petals with the sacred water, before cleansing the pulp using gentle heat.

Once cooled, I drained the clay of liquid multiple times and used the dye to create the bags in which you can store your necklace. I smoothed out the clay and allowed it to sit for a week, before rolling it out into beads and then baking them.

Each necklace takes weeks to make and is infused with love, ritual and ceremony and the energy of Glastonbury. They can be worn, placed in an altar and/or used for prayer/intention setting.

Each rosary comes with a hand-dyed storage bag, prayer card and crystal.

Please do not get the rosaries wet as they are made from natural materials.

History of the rosary:

The word rosary refers to the garlands that were traditionally woven from roses and offered to the Virgin Mary in the springtime. But long before Mary, those same garlands were made as offerings to other goddesses by many other names. Roses were offered to Venus, the Roman goddess of love and fertility, whose emblem was also a circle with a cross pendant. Before that, they were offered to Isis, the Great Mother of the ancient Mediterranean world. The rosary is an enduring, multi cultural symbol of the divine feminine and our own connection to the divinity within us.
